Equestrian Training Courses
The club organises training days during the school holidays. This gives our riders the opportunity to hone their skills in any given discipline, be it in order to prepare for an exam, to take part in competitions, or just for pleasure. It is also a chance to spend extended periods of time with their favourite mounts, practising at an appropriate level. The days are themed: gallop training, gallop outings, cross-country lessons, championship preparation...
Half-Board Service
If you have a special soft spot for one of our ponies or horses, why not try our new half-board service? This gives you priorty usage of the animal during school hours, and also during competition season. The ideal way to set goals for yourself and achieve them by training throughout the year with your favourite mount.
Throughout the summer, we invite you to try this new service from 01/07/18 to 15/08/18 for 275€. A training schedule will be set up with your coach to allow you to enjoy your horse four times a week, while being supervised by a professional. Tempted? Come and give give our new service a try!
Comprehensive
Les Écuries de Milhac de Nontron is partnered with the Association Cheval Nature Périgord Vert (CNPV). This allows us the use of their cross-country course for exam preparation, to train for the Eventing Cross exam, and to train young horses. The course is located at under 45 minutes' horse ride (or fifteen minutes' car ride), making it an ideal journey to give the horses a warm up before they take part in events. The course is an opportunity to introduce students to cross-country riding, a very technical discipline, and one that is necessary to master as of 'gallop + 5' level, and to train for the Amateur 2 and 3 Levels. We often spend whole days at the course to devote sufficient time to master these disciplines.
