Natural Horsemanship

As of September 2021, I decided to change the focus of the equestrian centre to concentrate more on horse owners and riders with horses on half-board. This allows me to be more available for them. I now offer lessons for small groups (5 riders maximum), as well as private lessons. Being able to benefit from specific advice, tailored to his or her objectives provides genuine reassurance to a rider.

As a long time event rider, I have always felt it is imperative to have a balanced and rich relationship with my horse. This allows me to progress. Today, I want to share this relationship with my riders. It is through learning to develop a humane and compassionate relationship with one's horse that we learn to communicate with it. This is what I want to now teach.

Walking lessons are organised at the centre. These help the rider to understand the behaviour and nature of the horse and allow them to get to grips with riding. This is what is known as natural horsemanship.

By developping a better understanding of their horse, the rider will build a connection with it. This will build mutual confidence between rider and mount. Once this bond is established, advancing with one's horse in the pursuit of one's objectives becomes natural.

In September 2023, I obtained BFEEE 1 certification. I am currently training with Andy Booth to achieve BFEEE 2 certification. I also offer training courses in my stables with Renaud Subra, specialist in equestrian behavior for the relationship between man and horse.
